Yeah sure. It’s a ProQ cold smoke generator, you need to buy the wood dust but it comes in all different varieties and it’s reasonably priced. You add the dust to the tray and then light the end with a candle, once smouldering you remove the candle and it slowly smoulders around the spiral for...
Looking good Chris.
Just wondering if anybody has used a reflector on their lantern and how well they do if your hanging one? The thing I don’t like about feurhand lanterns is the fact they light the sky more than the area around you.
The result this morning after 10 hours in the ty mwg. Tightly wrapped with cling film once it’s done seals in the smoke and the wonderful aromas and flavours that go with.
@TeeDee I’m not convinced about infusing liquid with smoke, I’ve seen a lot of products where smoke is added to cocktails for flavouring but I think k more for flare than anything. Most smoke is added to the grain before distilling… I wonder about adding some smoked grains or similar might add...

We’ve battened down the hatches here tonight and glad we did. Red warning for us on the western fringe of snowdonia too, but the internet hasn’t given out yet and the log basket is full. So I guess we will see what the night brings.

“Thank you for your patience today we had quite a big update to install which has added/changed some features. We're still reconfiguring but everything should at least be working now.”
2012 for me was the last great snow we had. I remember a bunch of us signed out one of the vehicles and went off building snow holes in the nearby hills. A few days later we were up in the mountains enjoying some gully’s and there were talks of frozen waterfalls ready to climb.
It all seemed...
When I was issued with a pair of combat boots, the old black ones not this modern fancy stuff. We were told to submerge them in warm water until completely soaked and supple and then walk around in the wet boots until dry. IIRC I did this twice, and they fitted like slippers after that. I did...
