    La Niña…Your thoughts?

Reading up some more on these “climate drivers.” Might be interesting to others as well… https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/services/government/contingency-planners/seasonal-forecasts-and-climate-drivers-resources

    Any gamers on here?

I literally just heard of this last night, Fooster did a video of it on YouTube. It looks pretty decent.

    La Niña…Your thoughts?

I’ve definitely noticed a difference locally in the weather systems we’ve had this winter. Whilst it’s been windier, it’s also been drier and colder than average. We don’t usually get frosts in the valley here but have had a fair few, which has had a positive impact on the plant life in the...

    Just add water.....

Roti/chapatti are an excellent choice. Super easy and takes only minuets to cook. Just make sure you use genuine chapatti flour as some have said that normal whole meal flour can be used but it’s not finely ground enough, resulting in a sub-par roti and many Indian ancestors turning in their...

Very nice. Do you have an oscillating multi tool? That could be useful for cutting the slot…

    Designing a custom outdoor knife

Thanks. The knives are all done. But I needed to do three articles so I thought each one could be a good jumping off point for discussions.

    Designing a custom outdoor knife

Yes, many lessons have been learned for sure! You should do a post about your folding knife handle. That sounds interesting. The print was perfect! To say as Tom and I hadn’t discussed handle shape all that much he pretty much had it nailed right away. I guess it’s that artistic eye doing its job.

    Designing a custom outdoor knife

Hi all, I thought I would add an article I've written recently about my process for designing and building a custom knife. I know a few of you have been aware of this project for some time, and the process had been very long winded but the finished article is now here! Please enjoy part one of...

    Track and trace ID

Ok, the game is up. The species was a herd of Sika deer! Descendants of an escaped herd from a local estate. Unmistakable head dress on them, and I believe they create small herds for winter and into spring. Very exciting this was my first time seeing this species. Excuse the dodgy photo...

    Lowered expectations and greater happiness

I used to be the one with tons of kit, mostly cheap or home made. Not one thing would do everything of what I wanted. In recent years I’ve found that it’s easier just to apply a little patience, and research equipment well before purchasing. That way I can probably spend a little bit more, and...

Wow…. I actually had to look that up, I thought you were swearing at me in Spanish or something. Now that is a very interesting species with a really cool story too.

So close… Final clue (which I only found out retrosptively), we were not far from the village of Oundle and Ashton hall.

I thought it was pretty straightforward so I didn’t add anything for scale. It’s arable farm land if that helps. :-)

    Seeding mistletoe

Interesting! Are they sold as living plants or seeds or already dried and just for decoration etc?

    Medical scenarios

Prime example just written here. Perfect! (I’m not picking on you Laurentius, sorry) Unfortunately rescue breaths were never “out” and have always been taught. The confusion came about because incidents occurred where people failed to do any CPR due to the fact they were too uncomfortable to...
