    Basket weaving tutorial

I've just discovered I can use the pallet straps we get on our orders at work to weave baskets. Thought I'd write a tutorial for anyone else interested: Square to round basket weaving tutorial by Cyclingrelf, on Flickr

    Razor Clams

What Andy T says - the ones I've seen, the holes are more keyhole shaped than round. You might see little spray craters in the sand around the hole as though lots of small droplets of water have landed around it. Tip on loads of salt and wait. The first thing to show will be a slippery fleshy...

    Women's sleeping bags

I went for the Woodlore Nanok Golden Eagle - I'm not sure how that translates to the rest of the Nanok range http://www.raymears.com/Bushcraft_Product/64-Ray-Mears-Nanok-Sleeping-Bag-Golden-Eagle/ I've not been cold in it and I've slept out in a bivvy with thick frost forming on my tarp. I...

    Tablet Weaving Results

Thanks for posting those, they look great! I'm impressed with the length of weave you managed in one evening. Did you keep the pattern on the left symmetrical by counting rows or by checking the position of threads in the cards? Anyways, nice work :)

What did you learn at the Bushmoot?

Practised my reflector oven bread-making, learned how to rock-climb, saw Longstrider's awesome demonstration :) Incidentally, my 6 year old nephew saw this photo of Longstrider cutting a can in two pieces: Chopping a can in two lengthways by Cyclingrelf, on Flickr After a moment or two...

    2011 - Moot Photos

My pics are on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclingrelf/sets/72157627421477948/ Due to teaching each morning, then doing my own stuff in the afternoons, I didn't take many during daylight hours! I've changed the permissions on the group photos, so you should be able to download a copy...

    Naughty corner

Me too - I hate it when the moot ends and I have to say goodbye to all my friends, old and new. But that's a testimony to how fantastic all you people are in being incredibly generous and friendly: giving freely of your time, skills and good cheer. Some highlights for me: Watching Longstrider...
