Sold Modified Bark River Bravo 1 - Bushcrafty Bargain

I think its quite a visual marmite thing. The interruption to the knife lines is not to everyones taste. Even i struggle with it at first. Its definitely a 'function' over 'form' thing. But for knives with spines that arent super square and sharp its a good option to avoid too much stock...

    Ferro rod recommendations?

I use the LMF rods. They are a little harder than they used to be but with a good sharp knife spine or striker you get a decent shower of white hot sparks, Some of the cheaper ones tend to be a bit hard. The coating is generally Oxidisation of the rod on any that I have used If you have longer...

    TBS Sherwood

Intersting head size/profile & length combo. With a good sharpen & strop it looks like it should cope well with both full on splitting and choked up carving/kindling jobs. Might be worth a punt

Help me choose a pair of gloves, please.

These are also very good. With a good dose of nikwax leather waterproofing cream they have served as good winter work gloves for me? https://www.military1st.co.uk/rk-rgw-le-30-helikon-ranger-winter-gloves-u-s-brown.html

Help me choose a pair of gloves, please.

Might be too thin for your needs but worth a look anyway. i use MacWet climatec long cuff gloves for shooting and cycling in foul weather. As dexterity is paramount in these situations. The climatec backing is windproof and water 'resistant' and adds a layer of warmth. I have cycled in...

A suprising dual use bit of kit.

So the weight suprised me. Doesnt 'feel' overly weighty to me. In its current format about twice the weight of a bushbox XL. But then it is taller too. At this price, if i was going to use it solely for a camp stove. 30mins modding with the dremel would sort it out. Currently i now use it...
