Is Die Hard really a Christmas film?

I have no recollection about christmas having any significant part in those movies unlike Die Hard where Bruce comming to visit his ex for christmas. If the christmas part is too vague in the story then it is not a christmas movie.

Is Die Hard really a Christmas film?

No, the plot in the film has to be at christmas-time to make it a christmas-movie. That is the rule.

    Show us your watches

I think I must point out that this is not a genuine old Smiths. Smiths stopped making watches in late 70´s. In the 90´s Timefactor bought the right to the brand and bought swiss movements and started remaking Smiths. My watch was bought 2013.

Who was the genius who conned us into believing we need a fixed blade knife for bushcraft?

Well, this I do know; in the summertime reindeer spend their time up high in the fell and wintertime they go to the lower grounds where they have easier to find food. Snow crust up in the fells can be hard as ice.

Bushcraft and homesteading skills in WW3

If society comes to a point where people start poaching (hunting out of season year round) it won´t be very long until edible animals are hunted to extinction. Finland have some 200 000 registered hunters. After that sheep and cows start needing bodyguards or kept inside 24/7.

Who was the genius who conned us into believing we need a fixed blade knife for bushcraft?

Where Sami people used to (and still do) roam is mostly above the tree line where the biggest "trees" are of this size: So no need for an axe for preparing firewood, a leuku is big enough. And leuku is like the khukri; a tool for all sorts of chores. Andthen the puukko for finer tasks.

When in need of small shelf.....

No, I cannot touch the fan while in the shower and furthermore there is a shower curtain so not a drop of water can splash upon the electric appliance. For a drop of water to touch the fan it has to drop to the floor, creep under showercurtain, travel about 2 meters along the floor and then jump...

When in need of small shelf.....

....Thou maketh one! Have this small fan in my bathroom. Since I only have one electric socket and need at least three had to install a power strip and needed a shelf for said thing. So I made this thingamabob kind of a shelf. Suspened by paracord from a wall mounted hook. Fan blows warm and...

    Mesh Base Layers

I can tell you one good thing about mesh undershirt. Last summer I was out on my bicycle when it startet to rain. Not hard but kind of moderate. Wore a mesh undershirt and on top a merino t-shirt. T-shirt was soaking wet but because it did not touch my skin due to the undershirt I did not feel...

    Mesh Base Layers

Not in current weather condition; 2-4 celsius with drizzle rain on and off. In summertime I would lose the puffy vest but keep mesh undershirt and combat shirt. Yesterday I was a bit cold in said clothing but I had to be outside only 10-20 minutes waiting for the bus, we went shopping. Had I...

    Mesh Base Layers

I wear mesh undershirts. Always a shirt of some sort on top of the mesh and then as a third layer the shell garment. Like yesterday going outside: mesh undershirt, then long sleeve combatshirt and a puffy vest.
