I have to say i had told myself over and over that i didn't need it... but it's only no.3 posh knife. My daily work user is a hultafors. If I'm looking at it dusty in a year it will have to find a new home once again.

If you are using walking poles on the trip and dont expect to not hammock camp very often again, then I'd consider using your tarp with walking poles as, well, tent poles. If midgies are a problem buy a single person net for under the tarp. Otherwise an ex-mod bivvybag over a mat and sleeping...
Answered my own question by looking on website! 3 season = 180cm = about 3/4 length compared to winter and summer options. Yes please I would like it for £130.

I have the handy hammock stand (DD precursor). It is as you say.
At home I use scaff poles to make a permanent pipestand as descibed by derek hansen in his hammock blog/website/books. Works well but very heavy

You have to fold the velcro flap back over on itself to keep it off your face. That is, until you want to batten down the hatches when you need the fiddly mouth patch which has inevitably just fallen out of your pocket

I have a long neck so got a larger hood than shirt. Any neck discrepency (don't think there is any) can be taken up by the velcro fastening. Not a problem.

I successfully used iron on repair tape to extend the life of my 16yo remploy buffalo copy by a couple of years in 2007. It peeled after a while, but I did need a total of 4m of it! The replacement 2ndhand special six is going strong. The original is in my canoe ditchkit - won't care that I look...
