These have now gone, apologies for not updating the thread sooner.
Ok, I have a bunch (6 ish) of these things at work. If no-one wants them they'll be going in the bin.
They are harnesses for tablet/touchscreen computers.
Basically 4 sections of 1.5" wide webbing joined in a cross...
See, I know there's nothing scary here but I still imagine I might bump into a big cat on the moors.
I guess that's a real worry elsewhere though http://www.backpacker.com/mountain_lion_san_francisco_stalk/blogs/daily_dirt/1656
Supportive sports bras are most definitely uncomfortable after a while. The crop type ones also seem to be a bit 'one size fits a small minority' with larger back size = jumbo cups, smaller back size = small cup size
For more sports bras than you can shake a stick at, check out...
Worn at my frst moot and for a walk/scramble in the lakes. Next time I went to use them they felt too small :( and they've been sat in the cupboard ever since.
I replaced them with some leather boots but now wish I'd just got another pair of these in a bigger size.
These cost £125 at...
Not seen those anywhere (and I've been looking)
Closest I've seen is this http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/trangia-277-ulha-kit-p-843.html
Not sure what the benefit of a hard anodized windshield is though - maybe it's stealthy  It's quite frustrating no-one seems to stock the more...
Ta, already looked on those.
I was more after 'local knowledge' - if anyone knows when the local paper is out or if they've noticed any notice boards in shops in the town, or indeed, have a room
Possibly a bit random for the forum but I need to find a room to rent in Skipton and don't really know where to start. Any advice?
I don't suppose anyone has a spare or room they rent out (or know of anyone who does)? pm me if you do.

I bought this off ebay to wear to a fancy dress party. I didn't look used (fabric was very smooth with the only creases where it was folded.) I washed it as it was a bit smelly and then spent ages trying to iron it.
I would describe this as more of a light...
ITEM NOW SOLD/SWAPPED
As seen here http://www.tamarackgroup.co.uk/acatalog/Fjallraven_Backpacks.html
I've never used it and it seems a shame for it to stay at the back of the cupboard.

In the first pic a nalgene 32oz bottle is in the pocket. It fits but is tight. A...
Yep, recently ordered some trousers in their sale. Got order confirmation but no further emails. Took about 2 weeks to arrive.
In contrast, earlier this evening I got a phonecall from Rose at backpackinglight.co.uk to check my order had arrived and everything was ok.
I was cold in one of the -10 bags in at the beginning of May and had to borrow an extra bag to use use as a blanket.
I've heard the women sleep colder than men and you sleep colder the older you get. I reckon being a woman and the wrong side of 30 is a bit of a handicap when it comes to...
Something like these http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9372158&ecamp=trf-005&CAWELAID=266901997
Only want a few so I don't want to buy a pack of 100. It's not the price, just that I'm fed up with buying big packets of things. I have a ridiculous amount of screws...
Now (allegedly) the newer, fancier lightweight thermorests don't self inflate that much. Sensible sized (i.e full length and 3-4cm thick) thermorest types aren't actually that light e.g 4cm Alpkit Regular Airic is 1090g, 3cm Slim Airic is 743g.
Real thermorest mats are damned dear too.
I still...
Really should be off to bed but just been reading this
http://amountaintophigh.blogspot.com/2009/04/how-to-poop-in-woods.html
There's rather detailed description on how to make a 'poop burrito' towards the bottom of the article. Now, I can't see myself going anywhere where I'd need to do this...
