I'd suggest the south moor for beginners. it is a little more pleasant to look at, the peaks are a little lower, and there are far more people on it, at any one time. All these things will help you. Pack as light as you can, the worst element of the moors, is the unever "tussocks", which will...

Also I would like to add, it has become apparent that firewood (of reasonable size) is some what low, so if anyone has access to firewood, and the ability to transport it to the parking area, it would be great if you could help us out. The cheaper the better, as we are poor bushcrafters, who...
