I think the 20 degree death risk is talking about your body-core temperature not air temperature. I seem to remember from 1st aid training that your body works very hard to maintain itself at the perfect core temperature, but when it finally stops being able to do that you are in serious...

A Day Ticket gets you onto the site but you pay £10 per course.
A quick recommendation for these kits. I just finished putting together a Grohmann kit knife, their #1 knife not the #3 here. The parts are all well finished. Assembly is very straight forward and takes less than 20 minutes including mixing some epoxy. (The epoxy is not essential). The...
This reminds me of the japanese fish that will kill you if it is prepared incorrectly. If you did make the jam it would be so scary to eat. An act of faith for anyone you offer it to.
"Hey trust me, I'm a chef ......" :naughty:
I've heard it is a good idea to keep any tick that you remove. Then if later Lymes Disease is suspected the tick itself can be tested. As far as I recall keeping them in a screw top jar with a piece of damp paper seemed to be the recomendation. Also label the jar and date it.
There is another way to use a firesteel, I'm sure I read it on a thread here a little while back.

Have you thought about taking the handle off your F1 and replacing it with one that fits your hand ?
Much cheaper than buying a new knife and the F1 will mean more to you as you've personalised it.
It would be a fairly straight forward job, and there would be lots of advice both...
Its interesting isn't it. Someone made a similar comment over on British Blades forum, and people were trying to work out why is it that we are so polite and civil to each other here. On other forums being rude and objectionable seems to be expected.
So in a vain attempt to make myself seem...
