This Is because of a couple of factors. First it all being British made so no cheap far east manufacturer and secondly it is only being done in relatively small runs at the moment while they build up the business. So a few hundred at a time..
I was asked to do some tests on the MKettle a small, lightweight variation on the Kelly/Storm/Ghillie Kettle format. As these are now being released for sale it seems like the ideal time for a public review.
First off the technical stuff. The home site for MKettle is http://www.mkettle.com/...
From in the pocket to the front of the catapult is 8 inches without stretching the bands.
It does not seem to be the grip it is just the follow through of the bands. Even with a bigger catapult my fingers would still where the bands hit.
That is the way I was shooting it. Pretty much like I would shoot a bow. Anchor at the corner of the mouth. Forward hand still till ball hits the target.
I wonder if the length of bands makes a difference.
I got one of these catapults to try

I have not used a catapult for years and even then not that much. After my recent attempts at archery I was interested to see how accurate (if at all) I could get...
You know how these things work. it is hard to have just one. I had an old Air Arms Mistral springer in 22 then recently got an Air Arms s210 in 22 second hand from a friend. So the Mistral got passed on to a friend and I got a second hand Theoben Mk1 in 177. Of course now I am so taken with the...
Lots of places. Used to be always LePrevo then I got some tooling leather from Abbey Saddlery and it was very good but the bag is made from some leather Warthog1981 got me from a reinactors market so not sure which particular seller it came from.
I made a few bits and pieces for friends in Knutsford recently and was planning on having a little break from leatherwork for a week or two but a new air rifle inspired me to make a simple bag for pellets. For a change I used an oil finish on this to make it softer. This worked out well and made...
Looks like a great trip. In those conditions Loch Ard is herd to beet. Have you had a paddle down the narrows yet? It is the best bit of the loch I think.
Another great looking trip Josh. you are really packing them in it seems. Reminds me I must try getting out fishing on Loch Long of Gairlochead and see if the mackerel are in yet.
I've been paddling canoes for a few years now and have probably spent less than 5 minutes kneeling in them. You...
I blame John as my pusher. He even did the classic try one for free approach which worked well for him and has been since. He is currently trying to get me to try the Bear takedown but as I know these retail for about $1600 I am scared to try it as I know I will like it.
You're not the only one. I now have two vipers, a borders flatbow, a bear recurve, a 35# no name recurve in a lovely wood and a couple of kids bows. Worse a friend is trying to convince me to buy another 4 recuves from him at a good price
There is a thread on SotP selling them. There are a few sizes etc. PM me on SotP is you are interested and I can see what I still have or I can make another batch up.
Having the poppers on the backs of the buckles would be easy to do but I prefer any buckles to be working. The bag is fine as...
