It's a Burke and Willis Ironbark, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Burke-Wills-IRONBARK-Swag-GREEN/dp/B00KEOL6I2 The Storm Kettle boys were stocking them but had trouble getting new stock so have stopped. It is a real shame as they are great. Well made, long enough, tough enough and a great price. They...
You are right the pump does start as soon as you open the door but only when the door is fully open. You need to watch that it does not close slightly when you have it attached to the mat or it stops pumping.
Thermarest Neoair All Season, Mini Pump and Auriga Blanket review/s
Continuing my using reviews as an excuse to get out more I have been trying out the current Thermarest Neoair with the new mini pump and their down blanket. I have long been a fan of the Neoair mattresses. Russ (Warthog1981)...
That's a good question. To make the first one is expensive but the second is quite reasonable ;)
You will need the leather, dye, needles, thread, knife and stamping tools plus other bits and pieces. You can get by with stuff you already have for most things. Cutting with a Stanley knife for...
A long time ago I did a tutorial on making a wet formed bag. It seems to have been quite popular and hopefully helpful. So spurred on by that success and only 6 years later I am here to inflict my second tutorial on you :)
As last time I need to point out I do not do that much leatherwork and...
The SJ4000 will happily work while charging from the mains or a battery pack. I've not tested the wifi range but would expect about the 25m line of sight tested above.
I didn't test for that but I think they now have inbuilt protection against this. The next time Tony is about with his multimeter and test lead we will do the test.
I'm always tempted by bigger and more powerful :) but i suspect that on balance 14 Watts is about right for me. If I were taking a laptop or tablet for video editing or the like then would need bigger but that is a big step up from where I am now.
It is weatherproof so rain is no issue. I have not tested it but believe with it being DC that a very brief immersion in water would not kill it but is something best avoided.
The panels "hinge" at the folds and the panels themselves have some give, they are not glass. So depending on where you...
As mentioned, Gearbest.com offered me the opportunity to review a few products. The two I asked to try were the SJ4000 action camera and this solar panel, http://www.gearbest.com/mobile-power-bank/pp_144404.html
A long time ago I got a couple of solar panels, the largest being a 10W one. It...
The sensor on the SJ4000 SJCAM is definitely a 3 megapixel one. It took some digging to confirm. The camera giving you 14 megapixel pictures is marketing as they are just interpolated up, however, I don't know what resolution the Qumox one will be as it is a different camera. It is all very...
I've heard back from my contact and we have a discount code for the SJ5000 Plus (http://www.gearbest.com/action-cameras/pp_148259.html). This has a 16 megapixel sensor and the fast frame rate options. Their current price is £114.55 including postage and with the discount code it is £97.60 so...
I've found your model on their site, http://www.gearbest.com/action-cameras/pp_148259.html I've emailed my contact to see if I can get a discount code for this model too.
I've just found out about the SJCAM SJ5000 plus. The spec of it is much more like the high end GoPro cameras with fast frame rates and much higher pixel count. I'd be interested to see how it compares as a direct competitor to the GoPro
I've posted this review on SongofthePaddle.co.uk and am repeating it here as I am sure members have looked at these and like me wondered if they are any use. I've also checked with the supplier that BCUK members can use the discount code too ;)
A few weeks ago the folks at...
I should have added that sometimes these adapters need a little filing to make them pit properly but it only takes a second.
Also you can still get the original flat and Philips head bits for these screwdrivers. Just search for Yankee Bits on ebay or the like.
