Nice pictures. Interesting to see those limited ones getting some actual use.
Is the steel that was used for the JP version made public? All I ever read was 'carbon steel'. Any comments on edge retention as compared to the SWC and AW versions?

Very nice! I like the dropped point - one of my two gripes with the SBT is the clip i.o. a drop point.
But why the indentation at the edge start? I can't see a purpose in that for a scandi.

When plucking, just have a tub of hot water ready and dink it in occasionaly- old farmers trick. The feathers will come loose and rub roff with ease. Should work on all birds.

I wonder if the severe cold and snow will have done anything to the insect population. Here we have had a couple of heat/cool cycles - it should have some effect, I reckon.
Oh, It might well work out-of-the-box, but with multiple weak points build into the design, these sort of multi-gadgets have a habit of failing after some time. The fire will deform the steel, so it will be a toss up as to what fails first - the bending mechanism or the leg holders. And when one...
