Thoughts on Removing Wood from Woodland

I was on good terms with the local council's parks and open spaces department. I used to see some of the workers regularly when walking my dog. If they were clearing fallen trees, or maintaining paths then I would often ask, and be told that it was no problem to take a little for my carving...

    Butter Knife

That is a nicely designed spreading tool. For some reason I want to make a similarly shaped knife out of tool steel - it would be a handy workshop marking knife.

    Novice wood carving kit

Another low space workholding solution is a Swedish lap vice. Basically a thick board with a couple of holes in it, and a loop of rope going through the holes. Place the board on your lap, put the workpiece in the loop, and pull the other end of the loop with your feet to tighten the work...

    Slipped overhand knot lanyard tutorial

Your tutorial is well written and easy to follow. One of your simpler knots, I found it easy to replicate, and it is quite decorative too.

Superb carving! Cherry does make for a lovely spoon. Interesting baguette carving - is that technically a breadspirit?

Great work! I love the Mr Fox bookmark, and those coat hooks are very good - elegant and organic without looking too rustic!
