    DAMMIT! leather ax holster

Haha stu's changed!! Glad to hear things are well. I'm "toying" with the idea of becoming a climbing instructor. Being on the windmills has got me all kinds of rope access and advanced rescue certs but I live in FLAT Norfolk so not much use here haha.

    anonyed with gransfors

I love my GB axe and think their customer service is top notch. After the leather mask was "lost" I got another sent for free! In GB's defence, even offering to take a look after 12 months is something considering there is every chance it has been modded or re-ground. What would you do in their...

Bicycles - what do you have?

I have a Trek 4200 which for me is the best bike I have ever owned. Living on a farm it handles everything from tractor rutted tracks, wooded trails to leisurely tow paths and tarmac. Suspension can be locked out for the smooth stuff, and then un-locked and you can redial the pre-tension...

Darkside or just Heavy Weight Bushcrafting?

just found this so sorry for the resurrection. Had a T4 myself which I converted into a surf wagon. Put nearly 200,000 miles on her without skipping a beat. Regret selling it now so on the look out for another. TECHNICALLY you can rig a hammock inside the back so thats good enough to be called...

cheers ged...i got hold of a few stainless steel shims used to shim/level 40 ton generators. when i had a play around with them they seemed so much harder than normal O1, but i have no clue what SS they are. It wasnt a complete waste of time as I practiced skills and found a shape that seems to...

    Heat treating stainless steel...

Hi guys, Not sure if this is in the right section but I'm planning on heat treating some stainless steel for a new blade. I was wondering if it is exactly the same as heat treating O1?? Same temps etc? Shaped me a lovely new blank, and although the steel was already much tougher than O1, I...
