Ok Folks. My partner just found this in a charity shop and curious to know if anyone knows what it is. Made of wood The ring slides down closing the end like a chuck. The black piece is a file. This also fits in the slot at top. Hopefully some genius on here can tell us what it is.

Hi went and bought a bag. not fatwood but it does light with a lighter quite quickly. has some sort of oil drips out as it burns. tried to scrape shavings off it and use a spark but didn't light for me like fatwood does.

We will all get together again some time Swallow. It will just be the right time.
