Had four of them from Heinnie and I agree, the edge is poor at best. If you want it just as a thrower then it requires little work. They are a decent little tool but limited in its use, i have just got my hands on one of the SOG Fusion hawks which cuts better and throws well too.

I'm using 8x42 due to most of my viewing is closer range and inside woodland and good in low light.

Oh and to throw something else in. The Hazard 4 Broadside pouches will fit three across the front and each will take a 3x3 tarp when folded.
