I think just smearing it on trees would be a good idea. This guy on Twitter has given me loads of advice on pine martens @pinetencolin he also leaves eggs out at feeding stations which are basically raised platforms in the forest.

@Nomad64 that's a really great story. Such a lovely dog. We had to put our dog to sleep two weeks ago, she was the greatest companion to me and I am still very sad about it, but reading stories like this makes it all a little more bearable. Thank you.

No she was there for a week only. But I know exactly what you mean so I will ask her. I'm sure she told me she had implants, maybe in her case she didn't but easyJet flights are so cheap I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to have multiple visits.
