Are you talking about games to be played with the normal deck of cards or with thier own pack? Uno for instance, is a good game, but it uses its own cards which may make a difference.

Broch, are they branded or copies? I've heard the copies are generally awful while the branded ones work better that the originals. i have a couple of after market ones but haven't measured them to check performance. Anecdotally, they seem to work OK but I'm not testing them on longer distances.

All the above. The idea is the chute will hold enough smoke inside it that when sparks rise they are smothered which helps too. It's not just the material itself but also the way it's set up

Bear in mind with the hand helds like the uv5r vs another, the uv5r has been around for so long most after market stuff is made with it in mind. For instance the CHIRP software doesn't always work with newer models of Baofeng. Some do but not all.
