    WHAT DID YOU MAKE TODAY?

Making a canvas bag for my Meta 71. And a cotton pillow case for my inflatable pilllow

    Compact emergency food supply.

Planning my summer trips. The Hebridean outliers can be shifty due to the weather and I think it best to take food over and above my meals/snacks. DO NOT suggest KMC.

Long Distance Walking (>4000km) + Wild Camping, Woolen Travel Over-Garment or Cloak

Yes, that makes sense...have a break too. But I have never done such a thing and I would get bored pretty fast.

Is "preparedness" a state of mind?

Covid certainly changed folks thinking. And I think communities got closer. My village, which is very community oriented, (you would have to go far to find a village like it) has done things like open a cafe (very well attended) with a community shelf and fridge. We share all sorts of stuff.

    Today

Im off to the library to get some of my Pictish art scanned, to send to the Crannog Centre for Easter. The theme is birds so I did a A3 bird poster to colour in.

I think of it like Ugg, the caveboy. When he has a technical question he goes to the Clevermen who give answers. The answers are not always useful to him, but hey, answers.

Long Distance Walking (>4000km) + Wild Camping, Woolen Travel Over-Garment or Cloak

Im having trouble with the idea of something that is for all climes (Dont look at me; I work in the Iron Age).

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

In the Mountain Warehouse shop in the Designer outlet centre in Swindon (Dont know where this offer is nationwide) they are selling mens fleece zip neck jumpers, £10. Grey, fawn, black, shocking pink, I think there may be green. If they are anything like the similar one I have, a good find.

    WANTED; Veg tan leather scraps

Thirty eight! With very little wastage. If we are losing a dozen a week (a very stingy estimate, I will be frank) then that is three weeks worth. OK, some are a bit oddly shaped, but the dratted things are expendable. (I get cranky over this but try not to resent it, its in a good cause)
