Yes indeed, now a sign-up form for Buffa.
Their website has been very, very slow for months, and I didn't hear back from a request for a fitting in their Sheffield factory earlier in the year, so this fits in terms of them handing things over.
There are companies where you use your phone to scan the barcode and they'll pay you for them and collect them. It's not going to bring in 'market value' but it takes the hassle out of much of it if that's a barrier for you, or no charity shops nearby that will take them.
I am sorry I'm not nearer by to be able to help with the sorting Tengu. If you have the opportunity to head to Scotland to what sounds like a wonderful job, then the hassle of this stage may well be worth it in the long run.
May I ask what restrictions on overseas travel you're referring to? Nothing's changed in terms of e.g. airlines and hold luggage as far as I'm aware. Carry-on, sure, but hold?
This should be good! I had similar but with an already shorter knife. The stub left in the wooden handle protruded enough to still be used as a Stanley-type knife so I kept it, but the blade I had no ideas for.
I'd be very wary of the rather high risk of the blade in a jerry-rigged handle...
The thing is Tengu's stuff will still need to be sorted when it sells. If it's left as is now, the property is very likely to sell for less so there'll be less to spend on the next property. It's a very short-lived psychological gain combined with an actual financial loss. Sorting it out now is...
Where abouts are you based Tengu? Depending on distance you may get some helping hands (if you would actually want semi-random folk helping that is, that might be an even bigger burden!)
I'd second this to see if the cylindrical handle makes sense to your hand in use.
I daftly sold one of the Reeves (I forget which variant) a long time ago. It was a fun thing, but back in those days the prices were rather more user friendly.
You could contact Ian Bailey (maker's mark IR Bailey). He's very capable of making such a knife (I have one albeit with a sealed hollow handle) though I'm not sure he does custom orders. He makes brilliant stuff, often nostalgic in what the knives reference, so could be worth a shout.
Very good points.
Also, be careful of searching using the search bar if you are already looking at search results. It'll just apply the new search to the existing results unless you go in and change it.
Honestly I don't know how they have such a poor search function, but if you know how to use...
I'm looking for a Rab Cirrus Wind Top (not the insulated jackets they also helpfully call Cirrus!) or a Buffalo Curbar Windtop. Size M for the Rab, and 38/40 for the Curbar please.
I think it's because there are two photos marked as Picture 6 (props to Mesquite for all the administration of this, it must be a nightmare to do month after month after year!)
Can you link to the legislation for this John? I thought it had been suggested, but don't recall it getting enacted.
I don't mean the old stuff on automatics/switchblades, but rather the update to also cover assisteds.
To the OP, if it does have a spring and you're concerned about it, you can...
