Regarding VAT on s/h silver. There is VAT, but only on the profit the broker makes, and only when the broker is a part of the margin scheme. Just saying so people are aware if buying s/h silver to look for brokers that are on the scheme.
I too would hold off unless I needed the money or it was taking up needed space etc. I also agree that we're at the start of a commodities supercyle, although I've been saying that for the past 5 years or so
An old but never been used Therm-A-Rest Explorer (self inflating mat). I don't plan on using this, I just thought it's a great bit of history and I love the older logo design.
Just a note on Lowe Alpine. I bought two packs from the 90s, one of them the internal coating looked a bit rough, the other the internal coating was FUBAR.
I have Karrimor packs going all the way back to probably the late 70's and all of the internal coatings are still in extremely good condition.
I don't think my GR is rip-stop type material.
In regards to a more alpine style pack, you could look for a Karrimor Alpiniste 65 which I find as comfortable, although it doesn't have the adjustable back with aluminium struts. The Alpinist is one of my favourites. And another favourite is the...
Thank you, I did pick up a GR model, it doesn't feel quite as robust as the S65, as in thinner/lighter materials. I'm currently using the S65 regularly for rucking with a weight of 25kg. It's very comfotable.
Don't get me started on parking!
Also, central beacons and brecon mountain rescue teams had a similar altercation only a couple of weeks ago during a multiple casualty call-out with someone who had parked across an access gate at the bottom of Pen y Fan, and received some abuse from the car...
Is it possible that the chip can monitor bowel movements, and then upload the GPS data to a website? Find a poo, take a phot on your phone with GPS coordinates enabled, upload the photo, automatic fine sent to dog owner.
This happened to us! We bought a small piece of land, fenced it off and started clearing/ tidying the land (yes, lots of dog poo & poo bags). Some people started complaining (not to the council, just around the village) that they used to walk their dogs through there. Now people throw their dog...
I'm not somebody who likes to regulate everything, but I absolutely agree that there should be some form of license, and part of the reason I think there should be one is because it might dissuade some impulsive ownership. Anyone who is serious about long term ownership, it will simply be one...
It's laziness and complete disregard for other people, including children. We walk to and from school, the walk consists of me keeping an eye on the pavement ahead and trying to not let my 6yo son step in anything. That includes on the pavement outside the school itself. Yes, some dog owners...
I picked up my son from school today and, as we were approaching our house, a dog was having a poo on the pavement outside my neighbour’s house. The owner immediately tried to make a swift exit without picking it up (doesn't surprise me in the least) despite it being very obvious that I’d seen...
