Me too, but we didn't grow up in a world with conscienceless video games of murder and violent mayhem. We grew up in a world where adults had lived through wars and taught us reality.
My brother's childhood shenanigans were one thing, but next door neighbour came off his anti depressants and...
Spuds, sweet peas, chillis and thinning out raspberry canes. Pruned the willows too. I have enough willow now for a basket and other bits and pieces....and it dries out sodden wet ground too :)
@GeraldTheBonsai
We're too close in age for you to be Son1, but that's pretty much what Jamie said when he told me not to buy it....just he was a tad more vehement about it.
I have a scar under my breast. My wee brother shot me with an arrow when we were children. I ran down the park to home with that thing bobbing in front of me, and I could hear my brother whining behind me saying, "She's going to tell ", and too right I did.
Mum looked at me, looked at the arrow...
Honestly ? I can't see why it shouldn't.
If you have a right to own it, you have a responsibility to only use it safely......and be insured, etc., too.
After all, drivers are insured for third party at a minimum.
We have issues with crossbows. Remember my Numpty Factor ? well numpty with crossbow thought it fun to shoot at the deer in the necropolis in Glasgow....and hadn't a clue what to do but run away when he ? she? managed to hit the deer.... not much the police can do, because the crossbow was...
I thought this sounded such a good idea, and I mentioned it to Son1......who promptly exploded at me and told me in no uncertain terms that it was an incredibly bad idea.......so I suggested he figure it out and make it work safely, because free once set up power is very appealling :)
I'm not...

"Here's a recap of what we know so far about the incident in Derby last night.
Derbyshire Police said seven people were injured when a black Suzuki Swift car was driven into pedestrians in Friar Gate at about 21:30 GMT.
Seven people...
I'm a busy Mod today :rolleyes2:
Please don't post stuff that could cause bother for the Boss. We like this bit of sanity on the net :)
I don't know how to inform on stuff like rumours without leaving BcUK open to libel.
I'm going to @Tony ask Tony to have a read of the thread and see if he...
I confess, I call it the Numpty Factor......if a Numpty can get hold of one with ease, and use it with impunity to harm, then making it harder for aforementioned Numpty to get hold of it, is no bad thing....but having said that, how the hang does anyone hold and aim that in reality ?
@Ducks
I like the look of that; might do very well on our 'just in case' suitcase stoves.
So, I went looking on eBay here, and there are adverts for the American ones.
Do you have the recipe book for yours ...
Soak it in vinegar.....the mould needs 67% humidity to grow so it's always an issue, but vinegar is acidic enough to destroy the spores without making the pot unsafe for food.
MOD HAT ON....
While I agree that news like this ought to be widely disseminated, please remember that there are laws about libel. Please don't leave BcUK vulnerable while you discuss a knife company failing.
I did wonder about that, but a fortnight ago I cut one open and there were wee seed sprouts on the white wing parts inside. They were British grown and mis-shapes and I was just using them up. I should have tried eating a few.
I have two sitting in the kitchen just now, I think I might give...
Pretty much all cotton with a nylon lining. I'd wash it too.
Not hot though, because the cotton can tighten up and not relax again.....unless it's well worn and then it'll not care :)
