    A sore mouth

That stuff is disgusting, like Germoline flavoured oil. Warm salt water is what the dentist recommends, the pink stuff we swilled with as kids wasn't salty at all, certainly not Himalayan Rock salt solution. Himalayan salt is the same as any other salt solution, I wouldn't go out of my way for...

    What did you buy today?

Storacell battery caddies. Getting fed up with the cheap plastic cases breaking and loose batteries rolling around and getting lost. Orange for charged and black for needing charging.

What was the smell of school dinners ?

School dinner smell was a combo of tinned peas, boiled cabbage, and mince and onions. I catch a nauseating nostalgic whiff in hospitals around lunchtime.

    New Stainless Peltonen M07

I think this is pointless after the handle has been altered, any warranty will be void.

    Your picture of the day...

This afternoon, a nice example of what happens when the chainsaws are left in the shed.

    Your picture of the day...

Hornbeam woods near here. The little seedlings with the moss on them are several years old, and as we coppice they'll suddenly shoot up due to having beautifully developed root systems in the natural biome.

Camping with a tarp in the open.

Whatever way you look at it you'll either need trees or poles, I don't see how anyone can erect a tarp on open ground without. Telescopic or folding walking poles are lightweight and also highly useful things to have with you on difficult ground or simple river and stream crossings. Lost track...

Lanterns: Can anyone recommend an LED rechargeable lantern?

Haven’t tried one, but these Wurkkos CL01 get great reviews. Nice and cheap too. https://wurkkos.com/products/cl01-camping-light

Lanterns: Can anyone recommend an LED rechargeable lantern?

If you posted this question on BudgetLightForums you'd get a resounding shout for Sofirn LT1. But I'd grab the LT1S, it's a smaller version and doesn't have as many modes (things to confuse you). I'll do some pics later for you. Runs warm to cool which is adjustable, has red mode. Has smooth or...

Battery type for late80's Tekna Micro-lite?

Whole pages, bet you'll find something ready made. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=screw+in+led+bulbs

Battery type for late80's Tekna Micro-lite?

Wouldnt be hard to solder a 3v LED into place on such a simple light. I see these BudgetLightForum guys buying torches and finicking their desired emitters and lenses into the host body all the time. Is it the screw in ones pictured below the battery on the Teklite website? I reckon you could...

    Mag-lite Solitaire L.E.D torch ?

Horrible white light from the cheap emitter on the Maglites. A Skilhunt E3A is about the smallest, single mode AAA light, comes with a high colour rendition emitter option. This is much better for reflecting true colours.

Battery type for late80's Tekna Micro-lite?

Two N size with a heat shrink tube should work. The heat shrink should increase the diameter to fit the battery tube and prevent rattling.

    Real Steel Pathfinder

Wondered if anyone had one of these? I have a couple of Real Steels and they're great value and good quality. It was the scandi option that initially intrigued me, scandi folders are hard to find, the last genuinely great one was the Brisa Enzo PK70 due to the actual zero grind. Unfortunately...
