Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
I had a buzzard come down for one of my bantams a few years ago but it was in an ark with fairly fine aviary mesh. The sparrowhawk has bothered my aviary birds on occasion too and has to pull up sharp when it sees the mesh. It caught a jay on my lawn a couple of months ago and I was impressed...
My premium bonds have kept up with my ISA but the more you have the more regular the return will be, and the longer you have them the closer you'll approach the expected average return rate.
They are comfortable for me. Originally I bought them because I was tired of having to hitch my trousers up everytime I bent over. In addition the "normal" waist pockets are huge; there's a handy long pocket down the right leg which will take a folding saw or sheath knife; the fabric is quick...
This is what I wear all day most days.

I use a few different ones. Solid wheels and a galvanised tub are a solid choice but a few plastic ones have surprised me with their longevity. There's a huge plastic 2 wheeler that is very robust and a joy to use.
I get B&Q multipurpose compost and their bags of farmyard manure and mix it roughly 2:1. The result is a very useable compost. You can use the farmyard manure neat for most fruit and veg since it's well rotted and they are hungry but that works out quite expensive. I'm strictly talking about...
Oiling it liberally will help a lot. As others have said, the centre of the log is particularly prone to splitting, as is the bowl due to its thinness and large area of end grain which dries out quickly. Next time try applying some boiled linseed oil and you'll see it soaks into the end grain...
Speaking of Bond games...
One of my favourite Game Boy games back in the day.
I'm a very intermittent/occasional gamer nowadays but I like to know what's coming out and watch reviews of games. The three I'm interested in this year are Atomfall, Crimson Desert and Avowed. Loved PoE and PoE2 so...
I got NPTC certificates and currently use an MS260 with 16" bar, pole chainsaw and no-brand top handle saw with 10" bar. My view is that formal training educates you in "best practice" and if you deviate from that then hopefully it'll be an informed choice rather than out of ignorance.
I've had a few bottles of their Belvoir and Abrachan whiskies. I'm hardly a connoisseur but others have said how nice they are too.
Inches cider seems to be the go-to among my friends at the moment. Thistly Cross is probably my favourite.
Anyone tried the Cuban rum from Lidl? I gave a bottle of it as a gift but haven't heard any feedback. An ill fated night in my late teens put me off rum long term and I've never really gone back to it.
Learning to stay out of trouble in the first place is a good step. Driving defensively, avoiding rough parts of town, staying in when there's a red weather warning...
Sure you might feel like a boring old git but at least you'll still be breathing.
I run the same system with my "good" watches, both of which I was given. It doesn't really save any hassle since I have to adjust the date on both after a month of fewer than 31 days.
