I now have an excuse for something to do on Monday!
Maybe it is Corsican pine and I'm wrong. There's various 'collections' on the estate, and possibly one of the largest
Yew populations I've ever seen.
There's some well established tree's on an old ruined estate by me. At a guess, 200-300 years.
The picture's not the best, but if you look at the top needles, they are bound 2' onto the hazel hoop with jute.
Scots pine can be ID'd from a long way away's and the needles are unmistakable. Double prong, 3-6 inches.
Try steeping some for 15 mins or so, and then some overnight, reheating. The latter is much more tea like.
If you have the shells on the shoreline, they are there.
Keep an eye out for very low spring tides (you can view your area here http://www.ntslf.org/tides/predictions) and watch a few Youtube videos.
You can also get very good pickings after a good storm if you get down early :)
I'm with you on that one.
Drop an email to SARA Mike. Mervyn Flemming is the head honcho (rescue coordinator).
I'm also friends with one of the crew on Fudgebook if it helps.
I cant seem to find any reference to this, both individual or genus :)
Jeez Ivan. What a shock! At least no one was hurt but how the heck did she not see the car? Its a long sweeping bend.
All I can think of is excessive speed or lack of attention.
There's nowt wrong with bio-ethanol, in fact, its cleaner to your cookware and you don't get the horrible soot/smell
that you get with meths.
I used pure ethanol in my stove for around 2 years.
No problemo :)
If you do decide to go for them, have a look at Dutchware tree straps with Ti buckles. Your whoopie sling simply fastens
over these (instead of a toggle) and your done.
I can hang in around 2 minutes and have tarp, UQ, bag and brew on in less than 10.
Its a length of amsteel (incredibly strong synthetic rope) with a fixed eye at one end (for your hammock gather) with a larger loop the other end that feeds back in on its-self for a section - so as to constrict under tension. Without tension it simply slides longer/shorter by hand.
It makes...
In a pickle at the mo. I bought a replacement clutch for a mate to fit (he's fully competent, and free) but while its been lying around
waiting to be fitted, the release bearings gone walkies  Hmmm.
Not having much joy sourcing one without the complete clutch, does anyone have access...
