Hi guys.
As Hellz brought this up the other day in another thread and I have had one for sometime now and it was more than handy whilst in Prague a couple of weeks ago I thought that it maybe wise to see if we have anyone interested in one for themselves or for Christmas presents.
The...
Ok guys, have got all of the above and keep payment until I have them all.
The British Blades are wanting some too so I more than happy to order some more if more people would like some.
Best wishes.
Jack.
Hi Hellz.
Yes they do, I wore mine all around Prague last week and had everything in there, passports, cash, Blackberry, tickets, water, hats and sweets
Really comfortable and has loads of internal pockets.
Go for it!
Dear all.
I have been asked more than once over the last couple of weeks for billhooks as it is pretty much billhook season with the leaf now coming off the trees.
Now, you all know what is the most superior edged tool to use for Bushcraft............that's right, a billhook. It has long...
Hi Red.
Having 12 forged a week today so can put your name on list if you want one!
The Yorkshire is a 2' hedge laying bill, extremely powerful but not to good for Bushcraft....... :nono:
Cheers.
Jack.
Hi mate.
Not going to argue with you there (wanting to but behaving myself today), the axe is designed for chopping and of course over tens of thousands of years you are never going to improve it.
That said I believe that it so over rated in it's use in the Bushcraft world - it seems to be...
Very nice Tor.
What you have there is a very nice Knighton billhook.
You don't need to have a 'bushcraft' hook made as there is a hook that will do the job for you and then some. The hook pattern is callled a Newton, it is by far more superior than any axe that you may come across and dare...
Thats right, it has wonderful grain and is a wonderful wood. That aren't the most common of trees (some would call them a scrub) and if you see come across a big one then you are in like as they are 100's of years old. You will find the biggest in ancient woodland - protected from 20th century...
Excellent article, great to see BcUK getting the recognition that it so rightly deserves.
Nice to see this movement getting into the nationals and by the way, I have a signed BcUK T Shirt - how much do you think that would get on Ebay?
Best wishes.
Jack.
None taken guys.
Sometimes I just like to question my own thoughts as I do everyone else's and I like to lay my thoughts out as sometimes I think we as a nation get to involved in other peoples lives.
We all have our hero's, it is just that not many become TV stars.........
I too heard news as well first thing this morning.
It is always a sad day when someone dies. Most days go by when we hear of death somewhere....Iraq and Afghanistan to name a few.
I must buck the trend here and say that I am not surprised at all at SE has been killed, surely this was only...
Ok, hornets, a subject close to my heart.
In fact, they are on our door step, they have built there nest in our roof just next to the front door. These guys are big and they make sure you know that they are there, it is like have a fuull bomber wing flying past your house!
We have three...
I must say, that as an industry the Bushcraft movement really does lead the way, it may not know it but it does.
I adore the way it is so proactive in getting kiddies - the next generation involved, and a lot of movements could learn a lot from it.
Cheers.
Jack
