    Lewis Hamilton

In terms of sports, F1 is now just cars rather than the drivers. The drivers have smaller effect than the car technology. I'm not a fan of Golf per se but he did do a lot this year.

I think McIlroy did more. He should have won it.

    Dependable Snow

I left school (work) on the bell and drove 20mins and went up Dumyat a wee hill behind Stirling. Quite icy but no crampons required (carried though). Some snow filling in wee gully lines. Mild 9 degs tomorrow so looks like the snow line will creep up to 2000ft or so, as it does most winters...

10 Second clot gel, works with the body

Mandos - have you watched the Talk ? It works faster than Celox and in a different way. It works with the body cells to repair that unique area.

    I am Hunter (Chukchi)

Most interesting was when the lady said there are no curse words or insults in the Chukchi language.

    Dependable Snow

Snow above 1000ft here now. Basically above 2000ft you will get snow in Scotland. That's why the treeline is there or lower. Last winter had huge dumps, some patches lasting all year. Get the sleeper to Aviemore and get up in the Cairngorms on the plateau.

Glen Lyon -Four Munros, Brocken Spectres

I am trying to shed fat and get hill fit for winter climbing, it's not the climbing that's hard but the walk in and crag apron with all the kit ! Now Mountain biking one night a week and indoor rock climbing once a week. Easy to 'hibernate' with short days/long nights.

    Forth Clyde Canal Canoe

Bowling up towards Lambhill is Lock hell, but get a trolley. All the locks have very low canoe pontoons, just off the water top to make life dead easy portaging. Also they have steps up off the canal at convenient spots too. Plenty points for food or fresh water canal side each day. Your allowed...

    Forth Clyde Canal Canoe

We did a School Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition, started at the official 'Glasgow to Edinburgh canoe trail' start, at 'Speirs Wharf'. No locks till Wyndford near Banknock. Then four locks between here and Falkirk. They stopped at Lock 16. 5-7 hrs paddling each day, wild camped two...

Glen Lyon -Four Munros, Brocken Spectres

We did these four today. Start up through the woods following the orange topped posts. Up the muddy Hydro track, then cut off left for the first summit. Bluesky apart from 20mins of zero visibility, then t shirt all day. We came off the last summit then re joined the hydro track. 18km 6 1/2...
