    Lundhags Sylarna Anorak Eskimo Design?

I got interested in that design and the fabric content as I figure it will be more hardwearing than pure cotton and also allow for more ventilation than a 100% polyester garment. Monk

Besides the UK Woolly Pully 100% wool sweater, are there any other decent brands of wool sweaters...the thick, chunky heavy type that anyone can recommend? Does it make a difference between oiled and unoiled? I once did get a garment using recycled wool and nylon...the sweater was itchy...

    Any Woolly Pully Users Here?

From experience I believe a Woolly Pully or similar HEAVY DUTY quality wool sweater has a place in your outdoor gear depending on where you are. I know once I was out and I got a bad freezing! Couldn't warm up until I put on an old woolly pully 100% wool so it is handy! Monk

    Water Purification Long Ago?

Has anyone any idea how explorers and soldiers long ago used to purify water? I'm thinking early explorers in Africa, Asia, India and 1800s and 1900s for example. What did folks do before all the water tablets and purifiers? Monk

    Any Woolly Pully Users Here?

Hi! Does anyone here use the Woolly Pully sweater with the patches? Any comments on using it in the outdoors? Only use it when you're around camp or immobile? Too hot on the move? Are the chunky ones still made or they have switches to a 'flat' knitted version? Monk

    German Parkas Ideal For Bushcraft?

Whatever happened to the German Parkas with hood in olive green? There used to be a big craze of wearing them now it has dropped off or the supply has diminished. I tried one on...the cut is very tight under the shoulders but the liner of pile and the material seemed hard wearing plus it had...
