    Better Kit organisation

In terms of kit which item do people most regret parting with? My biggest regret was off loading a Berghaus cyclops rucksack!

    Lords Wood August 25~27 2023

A good turnout over the weekend. Thankfully the wet weather forecast decided to pass us by. Looking forward already to the next meet. Understand a communal curry may be on the agenda.

    Budget merino wool

I should have said at a good price Dutch Army is the best. At £23 it very reasonable.

    Budget merino wool

The best merino is Dutch Army which does have a mix of fibres making it harder wearing. Got mine fron Forces Kit UK. My Decathlon merino wool top did not wear well.

I reckon closest train station would be Coventry with a 17 minute bus ride depending on time of day. Not sure what the situation would be on the Sunday. I used the Transport for West Midlands app.

Pete, Do you fancy giving us a fireside chat about your Finland trip at a subsequent meet?

    Red light head torch

Used the nebo during the winter moot. Run time about 4.5 hours. A bit short in my view as it is brand new. Red mode not very effective in relation to my eyesight. Worth the £12 in my opinion.
