Trek, have some variations which are good but not too sure on lifex. Some/most have only natural ingredients and are all the better for it. Clif bars are okay taste wise but full of bits. I picked up some protein flapjacks from B&M with more than 12 months life. Tasty enough...
For lightweight boots I go for the AKU Pilgrim. You can find new or used MOD version (they come in as many colours as you like as long as it's brown) for about £100. Fit like a glove.
A bit more expensive but I have to recommend the Savotta Jakarri M. Great pack, get the aluminium frame and carrying a fair bit of weight is a breeze. The lid floats for greater capacity.
