    Bushcrafty goals for 2017

Yes, I set my goals for the year in early January and then post them on my blog. I think making them public helps spur me to achieve them. I find setting goals "guarantees" that I learn new skills and have new experiences during the year. Life can become so busy that I don't pay enough...

    Raised cooking platform.

Interesting! I like how it insulates the fire from the ground. My only concern would be that the fire consumes all the way through the sticks in the center and the apparatus collapses before one finishes cooking. But that doesn't seem to be happening. - Woodsorrel

    What Time is it?

It's fall! Ahem, Autumn in the UK. :) I'm doing my usual fall things like gathering acorns and making Manzanita punch. I've also switched to carrying my warmer thermal layers and my rain gear. My rain gear has been sitting on a shelf since May because I live in a Mediterranean climate*. -...

    Woodlore Knife Pro

I understand the sentiments many have expressed here. My view is that if owning an RM knife gives you pleasure, do it! I will not criticize your decision. Nor do I hold Ray at fault for the high price. He is charging what the market will bear. This is not the same as taking unfair...
