There are huge varying degrees of quality. From utterly unusable to great. The best ones IMO are the Ray Mears versions and Light My Fire. I did a review a few years back….. er….Many years back. And they came out best by far. Not sure if the LMF have changed in quality, but the RM ones are...
If you enlarge that image on your screen to be 22 cms in length, then just put a sheet of A4 over it and trace the outline. The screen brightness will make that dead easy. Then you’ve got an exact template. I took care to remove any lens distortion from the picture, so it will be 100% accurate...
Here you go. I’ve taken it so there’s no lens distortion. It measures 220mm. If you enlarge the image onscreen and then trace it, you’ll get an accurate profile. Or just print it out to that size. I’m technically incapable of doing that so I use the first method :bigok:
