Why have Fallkniven changed the DC4?

It’s smooth finished leather on both sides. No rough out.

Yeah, it’s from Woodlore. They supply it with their own stone now.

    Haversack/Day bag

Go full on Indy with a WW2 gas mask bag. Been using them for years and they’re perfect for the day. Used mine today. Water bottle, food, binos and other bits and pieces. Including a sit mat.

    .50 cal Winds.

It’s quite a well managed wood, so hopefully they’ll leave it for habitat.

    .50 cal Winds.

I’ll test it another three times tonight just to make sure. Wouldn’t want it to fail in camp.

    .50 cal Winds.

It’s really sad. I can’t believe the first wood on the slope got away with it. It really gets the full force of storms. The second wood with the most damage is quite sheltered. And the trees down there were big. Some really massive oaks lost their lower limbs which took out the trees next to...

What do you want to have on Bushcraft UK?

I think we had a discussion on this 15 years ago, and the consensus then was that it wasn’t a good idea as people would just click on that rather than replying as they do on FB. I think that’s true. Not sure it offers anything really. Nowadays it’s evolved and people crave it as affirmation.

What do you want to have on Bushcraft UK?

I have to admit. It’s not difficult to use an image hosting site. I did that for over a decade on here and my posts were very picture heavy. And it’s even easier now. It would be interesting to see how many members actually have a problem with this though.

What do you do when it’s dark? (No not that)

Nothing better than walking g around the woods late at night. Armed with a thermal imager it’s amazing what you see. I probably send more time wondering around woods at night than during the day in the spring and Summer. Especially Sherwood.

What do you want to have on Bushcraft UK?

Interaction needs to be encouraged. So less of the ‘do a search we’ve covered that many times’ posts. That discourages conversation and makes the person asking the question less likely to add input to other discussions and maybe even creating their own threads ever again. Does it really matter...
