Not necessarily... perhaps overall it works in its favour, but many people tie up shopping with something else. So 1 car to the shop, then to another shop then home... vs van to your house then back to store, another van to your house then back + missed items/poor replacements etc... I wouldn't...

@Toddy those people were such leeches... goes to show how some peoples minds work in tough times. I did hear a great story about a friend of an acquaintance who rented a garage on a 6 month lease to store £10,000 worth of toilet paper... wasn't long after the stock returned to normal and he...

If folks are having good success then thats great, I found I perhaps wasn't organised enough for it... we'd plan out a weeks worth of meals, put an order in with ingredients that would satisfy that meal plan (with leftovers and stock etc) and we'd find that all the key ingredients of each of the...

I did supermarket delivery a few times and I can't stand it... maybe its just me, but I find they pick the worse produce with the shortest shelf life left...

    Sold Boker plus Little Rok

I'm glad someone bought it, I viewed this a few times and with the wife's birthday at the end of the month I was trying to come up with a way of explaining that I bought myself something for her birthday...

    Contacting Schrade re defect..

The weird thing is they actually replied to my initial contact and gave me said reference number...I suppose it was probably automated, but not being an instant reply it made me think there was perhaps a small amount of human element - "read query, select appropriate direction to forward it...

Has anyone gone through this process? I contacted them via email, got given a reference number and was told to send pics etc, then I've been ghosted... literally no reply after now multiple emails. :(

    Tattoos - Yours and Why

I know a guy in his 60's who has a tattoo with a good story.... So in his very late teens/early 20's he did something naughty and got caught...his friends convinced him that come court date he was going to do time, so obviously whilst he was out waiting for court date he went out on his "last...

Oh, to be fair, I don't eat cheese, so pizza to me is like a tomato and toppings bread.. Very tasty from the local Woodfired pizza guy! And it's £10 a pop for v tasty stuff... probably not highest quality toppings, but he makes the bread himself and is a nice guy so happy to support...

Pizza express prices have always seemed too much in my opinion. Its not so much the pizza price as much as the inevitable feeling of starvation I get after eating one...

Interesting thought... I'm not old enough to know what it was like "before", but I remember growing up and my folks would go out for a meal now and again, we'd go out as a family for meals at a guess, definitely once a month, there was a big expat social scene involved in that... but it seems to...

    What a fantastic day!!

As someone who works in the tourist industry, speaks to many different nationalities, the monarchy still holds a lot of weight to those abroad... Even recently was talking to a Jamaican American who was gutted she was not in the UK a week longer so she could see the coronation...that wasn't...

This is my argument, the moment any land under royal control, or belonging to the crown, gets handed over to a gov or a council, you can kiss bye bye to it.

    What a fantastic day!!

I'm surprised this thread took this long to devolve... Whilst I do really empathise where people are coming from regarding costs of living etc, one point that I recently heard which I think is very important to consider is the crown estate - the land owned by the Crown, or in some ways, us the...

It'd be interesting to know if anyone (the public) had any less than favourable views about Queen Elizabeth when she took the throne at just 25yrs old?
