The Leatherman XE6 is the best of the bunch in my opinion. At $79 cheap too.

BcUK Photograph of 2022 - October Heat Vote

Picture 2 is great too so deserves their win. I’m always impressed by the standard of photography on the forum. Steve does a great job managing the monthly photo comps.

    Pop up Gazebo's

The only ones to go for are the ones with octagonal legs. Heavy duty. I went through several so called heavy duty box section gazebos before purchasing my current two that I use at shows. They weren’t cheap at the time around £660 each for 3x3m. However when you do the show circuit everyone...

    Hammock Hot Tent

During our recce trip to Rough close there was a group of preppers camped in an out of the way area. A chap was using a hammock Hot tent. Intrigued i have found the Onetigris online. a bit spendy and a bit big. Has anyone experience of hammocking with a stove. My first thoughts are on the...

    The ever elusive land conundrum

It might help if you suggested a location. Where are you based? There are several BCUK local groups that meet up. Also there are Bushcraft Clubs that have access to woodland. you might find the Small Woodland Owners Group helpful.

Long Evenings. What do you do?

The nights are getting longer. I often find myself at a loss. I don’t carve in the dark. A couple of hours of watching flames dance. is it bed time? Nope it’s 7:30 pm. Still a few hours before bedtime. So what do you do other than stare at your phones?

New member looking to get into bushcraft.

Welcome Ted. There are some very knowledgeable folk lurking on the forum. So feel free to post anytime. Also the search function can help with lots of the most common questions. Although I still think getting an up to date perspective can be just as valuable.

    Recommend me a power station

Does anyone have a handy link to the rules of travelling with a power bank. Jackery style not a little top your phone job. I know they’re pretty pointless for me on expeditions as you’re not allowed to fly with them. I’m assuming the channel tunnel will have issues but the ferries should be ok.

    Proud moment. Another Beautiful Bow

Andy attended our September bow making course. During the 3 days from tree to shooting bow we don’t have much time to work on making them pretty. Our focus is on a nicely tillered shooting bow. So I was rather pleased to receive these photos of his bow. He deserved a beauty working hard...

    Expedition Blades

All a bit over dramatic really. 14 days in Canada. Doesn’t really matter what knife you carry as long as you can use it effectively. The only issue with failure is if it injures you as it breaks. It it did your knife skills were pretty poor to begin with. A broken knife is going to be...
