I tried carving a face once and gave up halfway through. I just can't seem to get my head around heads. This has inspired me to give it another go so who knows. Great tutorial

Thank you. I really enjoyed making it. I almost forgot how much fun leatherwork is. Now to save up so I can fund this newly refreshed hobby

    First sporran type pouch

Hi lads and lassies. I offer, for your perusal, my first attempt at a sporran type leather pouch. I'm quite chuffed with it as a first try. I haven't made anything in such a long time

That's a rather fine example of that style, but they don't have the same appeal I don't think. From a carvers point of view, how enjoyable was the experience compared to others?

    Carvers Block

Mushrooms seem to be quite popular at the moment. Any garden ornament at all really. I've recently carved myself a beard comb from a nice piece of pallet wood

    Packable towels

I use plain white vinegar. I put half a cup to a cup in the dispenser drawer of the washing having. It has the added benefit of cleaning the machine too. For extra fluffy towels I sometimes do a second wash where I put half a cup of bicarbonate of soda in the drum. This neutralises any remaining...

    Karrimor Global

Hi lads and lassies I was recently given a Karrimor Global 35-50 rucksack. It's in really good condition. Only issue was that the detachable daysack is missing. Does anyone know where I might find one of these, or something else that would fit into the existing zip? Thanks

    Packable towels

Don't forget not to use softener when cleaning your towels, as it decreases their absorbancy. I use vinegar instead of detergent to wash my towels, and they feel fantastic and soak up loads
