Choices. If you look on wisport website they make it in no less than 20 colours and patterns!
Unusually all for sand/coyote colour but I am liking the look of the ral6003. It looks to be a bit darker than olive.

Yup. Seems Military 1st is getting stock in 4 weeks. Else Wisport ship from Poland for a very reasonable sum. Could be onto a winner here.

The other option potentially is that I don't dislike my current pack. It's a Brandit Mule. I've modified it with a better hip belt and larger Viper side pouches and some extra front straps off the MOLLE for what seems to be a gigantic bedroll!!
The option is pack less so I don't need a bigger...
@MrEd has brought an old post to my attention in which there was a Lowe Alpine Sting for sale.
On the face of it, it seems to he exactly what I am looking for. Sadly I fear not many were made in Olive Green and the bags are no longer in production it would seem.

@SCOMAN ah yeah that one. Yup, love the design but I'm just not into DPM. I'm not sure I ever was, even when I was in the military [emoji23]
EDIT: Or MTP or whatever they call it these days

That looks to be just what I'm after.
Unfortunately I've seen enough DPM for one lifetine. It's a shame because that would have been perfect otherwise.

I'm pretty set on the rocket pack idea. That gives me a lot of extra carrying capacity only when I need it.
I guess the other option is to purchase the SF or the Snugpak Rocket pack and get one of the local military shops to modify it for me.

Am looking for a rucksack in the region of 40-55 litres with a decent covering of MOLLE front and top but also has the side zips to accommodate UK mil rocket pouches.
In an ideal world it would be the Sabre SF45 but the front and top would have MOLLE attachments. Is there anything...
Much used in SAR as a means of attaching stretcher to rope (via 2 crabs or mallions).
Good strong knot and fairly straight forward to tie [emoji106]

You beat me to it [emoji3]
I was thinking about how they would compare to UK mil version and thats immediatly what sprung to mind.
Probably intended as extra support to stop the weight in the pack pulling the zip apart.

I will do. I plan to order one later this week. Though obviously rules being rules. I probably won't get it on the water for a couple of weeks yet as I am in Wales and there is no paddle worthy waterways within 5 miles of me which is our current travel limit.
Also, I have since discovered there...
Thanks for advice all. I am an (I would say) intermediate level paddler in both canoes and kayaks. Albeit, that was during my milutary days which ended in 2011. I have only paddled a few times since in a canoe on the Wye.
My initial thoughts are that we might hit the Wye, Severn, some of the...
