Presumably you would want to open and close said door whilst bikes were still on the rack?
If not, then you're door will be more than strong enough to take the weight with bikes on when closed.
Alternatively, have a leg custom made that will fold out when door opened that will take the...
Hey, thanks but no I'm not. My other reel had this anti rewind switch which basically allowed the handle to turn both ways. Its just a feature I found really useful but I guess the drag could be utilised in the same way.

Hey,
I recently snapped my rod in The Lakes - cheap lixada telescopic thing I found on Amazon but I enjoy a spot of fishing when I'm travelling about if I see an opportunity.
So on my return home I bought a compact Rigged and Ready carbon rod and a Daiwa E 3000C Spinning reel.
However, I...
Only place i can find these at mo is on Amazon and Ebay direct from Japan with a lead time of nearly a month.
Anyone know of a UK outlet or a comparable alternative but the 28mm thread must fit a Sawyer (so no Platypus recommendations please as they use a 28mm proprietry thread).

Just had to snap this. I don't think I've ever seen one quite as big as this and the picture don't really do it justice either. I'd say around the tree it is probably 2ft from one side to other.
I think its one of the Ganoderma's but happy to be told different. Maybe Fomes Fomentarius?

Its had a fair bit of use now, yeah. But not long term, maybe a few months. Though, it has kept me bone dry in the worst the Welsh weather could throw at me - on my first overnighter post lockdown typically!!
As you'll see from the review I was skeptical at first as it feels like a plastic bag...
You say you have a DD. Presumably you are referring to the standard 3x3? The superlight is worth a look, it is much lighter and packs much smaller.
I recently did a review of it here:

Granted, their not a particularly lightweight addition! But when you compare to a 3 season bag its not too bad a comparison.
I picked one up off Amazon for around £20 and if I recall it weighs around 700g.

Ah yes a hat. People tent to underestimate the tremendous difference a hat makes.
Slightly off topic but Mrs Onelifeoverland always used to get cold when away in the camper until I told her to try a hat one night. She thought I was being a bit silly at first, because she'd never heard of such a...
