Hi, I have had the Fallkniven F1 recommended to me by several people. I can't afford a new one at present. Does anyone have a used but usable F1 they'd be prepared to sell, please? I'd prefer a plastic sheath, right handed - but I think I can buy those separately (anyone know for sure?)...

Is this a "normal" F1 or one of the newer versions that Fallkniven have released?

Tip? I thought the H1 had a generally strong and "bulletproof" blade. I think I have seen comments about the F1 tip breaking.

Berghaus better in the field; Karrimor better for holiday hiking, IMHO ;-)

Hi, Broch, At the end of the 70s and early 80s the non- adjustable version was it, but an adjustable version arrived mid-80s. I bought one but didn't get on with it as the system slipped in use. I replaced it with a Berghaus Cyclops Alp (size 2, fixed back) which I still have.

The original Karrimor Jags were not adjustable. They came in 3 back lengths, so it was important to try them on loaded. I fitted (and still fit) a size 2. I have bought some Jags on eBay and still use them - I wore out my first but still have it to carry the Scout parachute: 37 years and...

"Darkness Within" is a lovely piece of woodworking. I also like the carved spheres and the spirals. Wonderful work and most inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
