    Looking for a particular knife.

I had something similar whilst in Belize, possible the Aircrew version as it didn’t have the Marlin spike but a screwdriver like thing on one end, which I think was for pressing the room service button. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a Hennessy bubble mat, which clips in to the Hennessy hammocks, stops it wondering, but I have moved in to a DD under and top quilt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Carrying an axe in the UK - In sight

Many years ago I carried my machete on the side of my Bergman between the side pouch and the rucksack. The handle was visible, but meant I could easily reach it if I needed to use it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    What did you buy today?

Thanks for this, I’ve just dug my watercolours and brushes out, unfortunately can only find half of it, but my daughter has snaffled my brushes and I’m not convinced they will survive the lockdown. Need to be able to replace them when I’m ready to start painting again. Sent using Tapatalk

I’ve got one of these somewhere. Used it all over the world, before Leatherman’s were a thing. My dad has a Champ and I bought mine in Belize the first time I saw one, paid £50 29 years ago, so this is a bargain at the price you are offering. Sent using Tapatalk

    Infantry Style watch ?

I wasn’t a fan of the issue G10. I had one issued for a jungle course and it fused on day 1 on a river crossing, leaving me without a watch for the rest of the course. I went to a Seiko Divers automatic watch, the luminous has faded after nearly 30 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    My Car Kit

I used to carry an overnight bag and sleeping bag in my car, in case I had to stop somewhere overnight. The one time it could have been used, I didn’t as the young lady may have considered me presumptuous rather than as a Scout just being prepared. When I had a Discovery I carried loads of...

I am Pretending I am Allright...

A little bit of thread drift. I find it amusing that people defending Greta effectively belittle her as they do so, the argument is you should treat her as a child and not be nasty to her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Knife breakage

I’ve broken the tip off an Opinel, when I took it to get the point put back on, I warned the cobbler it was sharp, he said, “it will be when I ,****” to the accompaniment of blood dripping. I had the point ground off a safety knife for my kayaking kit, does that count? Sent using Tapatalk

Luggage organization's - how do you?

For a suitcase, I pack similarly to my kit bags, except some of the clothing is different. I will normally use one side for shoes, wash kit, electrical items and things that don’t mark. The clothes side, I start by sizing my items, by length and width. These are laid flat and then shaped to...
