Look at the Carinthia TRG line, it’s a bloody good bit of kit. I hate wearing waterproofs but the TRG is a bloody brilliant bit of kit. Extremely well thought out, I think it was developed in conjunction with the bootnecks.

I think Jay Jays in Brecon make custom stuff. The leafcutter is a great design but I think it needs updating with higher quality clips and fastenings. Hill People Gear make some great kit.

I find carbs make me feel sluggish in the morning and generally like to keep them to a minimum. I tried the keto diet for about a year and have maintained my breakfast habits from that. I really enjoy the grapefruit juice though.

Have you tried it with coconut oil? It’s pretty good. When I’m at work it’s bacon and eggs, at home I usually have a chunk of chorizo, some cheese and a handful of nuts. Washed down with black coffee and a glass of grapefruit juice.

I’ve always enjoyed hearing of his adventures, more so than any others. I don’t think his skills in bushcraft or survival are on par with Ray’s, but the man has mettle and that’s a far harder thing to learn.
