I’ve never used bright orange stuff to prevent losing my gear. I find that kit discipline and not getting drunk at night negates its use. Relying on slapping bright shiny bright colours on your kit makes you lazy and even more prone to losing your kit. Unless you plan on getting squiffy around...

This picture was labelled as a ‘her’ though. It’s a male. There is some crossover with markings with some females being darker than some and some males being lighter etc.

Soak it in Danish oil for a week or so. The antler will soak it up and turn an aged yellow colour. And the Danish oil stabilises it at the same time too.
We have a fungus that is wiping out our frogs too. With mild winters and with warm spells throughout the season, fewer and fewer are surviving into Spring. It’s a problem.
