I took mine out yesterday for a short outing.
Comfortable, functional with all of the pockets and storage options. I like the side pockets behind the rocket pouches, kept my knife and saw in them.
My only criticism so far is the lack of water bladder pocket internally (use it to store a...
Ordered from the Arktis site on Tuesday 23rd (registered email address to get an extra 10% off, code came through within a few minutes to email) with an expected delivery date of between Monday 29th and Wednesday 1st. Email from DPD this morning saying it would be delivered today.
Recieved it...
How would I know if they were? The only thing that's mentioned online is that they are treated with grafo-therm to prevent condensation but im unsure if that totally stops it or just minimises it
After a bit of a lengthy conversation with the other half about how much gear I have accumulated for various things hobby related and outdoors, diy tools and bikes etc I may have to look at self storage containers.
Now the majority will be sorted and stored in boxes/totes, but my concern is...
Couldn't resist and bought an Arktis H110 35L daypack, an s10 respirator shoulder bag and a spare set of the Hestra wool glove liners for the falt guide gloves.
Sorry @Tengu - Do you still have the eurohike sleeping bag? Is it the half down half synthetic hybrid one? If its still available could you send me a pm please? Thanks
Have used my grayl geopress for the better part of 4 years now. It's been a game changer for me and now I don't have to worry about carrying so much water
Have seen the arktis h110 and I'm also interested in them.
Have tried the usual looking on YouTube but there doesn't seem to be anything on there about them.
Interested to find out what can be put in the side pockets (nalgene/jetboil?) And the other compartments. For the price they do seem...
What's the plan for the setup and are you currently running the house from it/if not what are you powering? If you have the space you could do a ground mount array
It's considerably lighter, feels less bulky than my centurio did. Only downside is the lack of adding the rocket side pouches on the predator but it does have bottle holders on the sides and straps if you wanted to store a saw/axe/bivvy etc
I own a predator 30
I would say its 30l once it's closed properly and pulled down tight on the straps like the pictures show when it's shown online. With the inner expanded I would guess an easy 10l extra if not more if you loosen off the tension straps. I can dig mine out and take some...
Ridgeline evolution smock came this week. Have already worn it in the rain and has been great so far in the Welsh weather. Its not a warm or lined one, and is pretty thin and has pit zips to vent if needed
If your using a chainsaw I would highly recommend getting some sort of idea on how they are used correctly and picking some up. Unfortunately the prices have risen in the last 2 years on this kind of equipment.
Not to put a damper on the mood but by the time help has been called and someone...
DD 3x3- my last one lasted me a decade before it gave up on my after being left up in some severe weather conditions covering a firewood pile.
Can be had online for around £35
More often than not I carry a slipjoint (lars falt) and a farmer x. The only time I dont is on the school run or while in a supermarket and it's in the car. I don't go clubbing/pubbing but if I did I wouldn't carry them there, and I don't work in a setting where people look at me if I do use...
I wrap duct tape on the end of a 6 inch ferro rod to give me a handle. I use a small section of tape to scrape fatwood or any other tinder source onto and find it sticks to it and doesn't blow the tinder away if theres wind. The duct tape does then burn in the tinder pile
I use a 1.5l nalgene bottle with a source hydration hose, and have a 1l nalgene stainless as part of my brew kit.
If the kids are with me they have their own 500ml nalgene bottles to keep the weight down in their backpacks and ill put a few fruitshoot drinks in my pack.
I'm rarely far from a...
