Are most wood pallets treated?
Most domestic pallets are not treated with chemicals, so they should be safe. But you still have to be careful. Many crafters use these pallets safely, but it is better if you can trace from where they came.

Mate I don't think a down bag can be cleaned without ruining it. Dry cleaning uses dangerous chemicals, & if you wash it, it will never be the same again.
