Looks cast. Did you use the dremel to sharpen it? How heavy is it?Some sort of iron, that´s all I know.

I overfilled my berkfeld water filter. Thought it was empty, as I didn't remember refilling it last night. Went out, came back to a gallon of water all over the worktop and floor. Duh!!!!
Burned my spuds last week, now this!

@Woody girl If that was a serious question - No you shouldn’t worry.
There is a huge difference between forgetfulness associated with aging and clinical memory loss/confusion.
There was a New Scientist article about the difference published a few weeks ago. I’ll dig it out if it’s of interest.
It’s behind a paywall but a small breach of copyright or a synopsis shouldn’t harm anyone.

I think I'm tired, the heat doesn't help, plus I've got another vile bullying situation happening. (5 incidents in a week) I did notify police, they were supposed to get back to me,but.....silence.
I'm a wee bit distracted i guess.
I need to get away for a bit, but it means leaving my veg garden to fry. Can't do that just yet. I'm so low on energy at the moment. Still suffering a tad of long covid.

Now, I lost my phone for 5 hrs! Oh jeez! Someone sell me a braincell please! 
Found it in the garden. Heaven only knows how it got there. I don't remember taking it out with me.
Not a normal thing, no wonder couldn't find it in the house. !
Total brain fog today. Now I've made ANOTHER MESS turning my bedroom upside down looking for it. I give up.!

I used to have a tracker which I could press to get my phone to ring (the tracker principally being designed for your to use your phone to find the tracker)...but lost the tracker in the sea. Now it's a case of doing what you've been doing and rummaging to find it again.
Actualy I can never remember my mobile number, so using the landline to find it was not an option, and I probably wouldn't have heard it as it was at the top of the garden under the sun umbrella on the table. I only found it when I went out to water the garden. Thank goodness I did. I almost gave the watering a miss, I was so peeved! I can't afford yet another phone so soon after getting this one. I must get a brightly coloured cover for it. So I can spot it easier.
I'd probably loose a tracker the way things are going the last few days!
I made a kitchen spoon for my daughter. The wood is cherry.
Now that the mace head is glued on it´s time for the handle.
Nailed the wrist loop with tacks.
Rest of handle will be wrapped with a long leather strip and the wrapping will cover the wrist loop tacks.
But for now I don´t have any leather so that is something I will order from a webshop.

1 kilo of raspberry jam. 1h walking (or more like hovering around the same bushes!), then 20' in the kitchen. Went 50-50 fruit-sugar, a bit on the sweet side but still really tasty. Added a bit of lemon in it, and crushed the berries into a pulp. With seeds, couldn't be bothered straining it 
Over a few days.... I made a full size cyntell basket (under tuition)- that's a traditional south Welsh frame basket. This one is 24 inches across as that was the size of my hoop former (an old bicycle wheel).
I started a few weeks ago learning to make the hoops and frames- finding/making formers, selecting the willow, splitting and carving the willow and then putting it in formers. They where hung to dry in my polytunnel, and have dried in record time with the hot weather.
Then Thursday and Friday I made the basket. There's quite a bit of green wood carving involved as another 4 ribs are made (split and carved) as you make the basket.
I still need to do the final trim, will do that in a week or so once the willow is dry, and will take a photo once it's trimmed out. Yesterday I was cutting poles in my willow grove so I can make another set of hoop and ribs.....

Used and old golden syrup tin with a small hole in the top, fill the tin with punk wood, the secret if finding punk wood, that spongy soft but not rotten wood. stick it on the old firebox stove and cook till the smoke goes from the hole in the tin a then seal the hole with a stick and wait to cool.

Takes a spark really well, great with flint and steel, great with a tinderbox, just drop sparks in and pull out what lights
