Wanted basket-hilt broadsword, dirk & sgian dhu

I've asked about sgian dhu in the past and managed to find a nice blade.
I'm currently looking for a basket-hilt broadsword, dirk & sgian dhu. Live blades, early Jacobite era or earlier. "Matching" would be nice but not essential. I can pay... A bit. I'd want change from the cost of a good second hand motor.

I think there is an armourer making the likes of what you want in Edinburgh. They were doing their own more refined version of the MOD survival knife. If you want original, you'll likely pay for a new car or have to raid an estate/castle. They usually have them stuck up on the wall.

As you say this, it strikes me that I knows a stage armourer. Not sure if he does proper cutty things. But I'll find out.

Not sure what you mean by matching as these weapons were not a set and all have very different types of handles. Check out Cold Steel for the broadsword and dirk.

I bought an ‘S’ basket hilt sword from Armour Class many years ago, can’t fault it & it’s nice & sharp although I think they do a blunt version.
They’ve a number of different styles, you might find something to your taste.
Mine goes well with any of the targes I have from The Targe Maker who’s stopped making his superb replicas.
