What are you most looking forward to foraging in 2009?

omg where do i start?! there is a huge chicken of the woods near me, some chanterelles growing where I work, lots of fruits and nuts. But probably i am most looking forward to foraging cattails, because i have never tried them before Wild

    Whos cut their finger?

hehe painful, I cut my finger today whilst accessing high ropes at work. there was a fine metal 'thread' sticking out...i didn't feel a thing and only realised what i'd done when i saw the blood dripping off my hand lol 40ft up a tree in a harness is not the best place to discover this.... Wild

    Birth trees

Well why don't you just pick which one you feel most 'connected' to? It would be a personal choice then? Hazel is a useful tree and its also the celtic tree of wisdom, Peter_t, so don't be disheartened :)

Taking advantage of the mild November weekend....(pic heavy)

hmmm quite possible lol In the broad sense regarding snares, I was just covering my back lol You're quite right Yeoman, with permission fromthe landowner u can snare. Am I right in believing that you have to use 6-strand snares for game and you have to check them twice every 24 hours?

    Poisonous mushrooms

risky business collecting mushrooms!! look at that recent case of the lady who died, because her friend mis-identified some mushrooms she picked at a botanical garden. If ur not sure do not eat!! the collins guide is quite good but only has pics not good drawings Wild

The painful reality of a walk in the woods

totally restores faith in humanity don't it? I understand about the judging by appearence thing - At the moment I have purple hair and with all my piercings and tattoos, people assume I'm going to be a horror (which I'm not of course!), I just like to look the way i do. Wild
