Two plants to identify from acidic soil

I found these next to a slate track within coniferous woodland. Not the greatest photos in the world but can anyone identify them? Ste

    Rewilding Britian - increasing biodiversity

I get why you might be angry at his notions, but I still think we should leave him aside and focus on ecology. Subsidies given to farmers in the UK for upland farming and how much they make. Basically the figures Monbiot says in his article as that's the only source I have come across.

    Rewilding Britian - increasing biodiversity

I think really we should be judging Rewilding Britain as opposed to the way a man lives his life. I don't think we would be able to find the time to judge each individual within the organisation. It would be more productive to discuss what Rewilding Britain are attempting to achieve as opposed...

    Rewilding Britian - increasing biodiversity

He's also not asking for people to be removed from the environment, he'd be creating more access in the long term. Maybe the Lynx could be the solution to keep the deer population healthy and therefore look after our woodlands. Especially since a Lynx takes a Lamb every 2 years or so on...

    Rewilding Britian - increasing biodiversity

The upland environment isn't a floodplain, it's the lowlands. The prevention of upland soil erosion would create a thicker land mass to sponge water and hold it higher up,slowing its release into the lowlands. Recently Geomorphologists have acknowledged the potential of water retention and slow...

    Rewilding Britian - increasing biodiversity

I don't think he's trying to introduce any exotic species that are being spoken about here, that seems a bit facetious. From what he's discussing in this article the main objective of Rewilding Britain is to increase the percentage of tree cover by 4.5%. He doesn't seem to be asking for an...

    Rewilding Britian - increasing biodiversity

I just read a very interesting article about the 'wild' state of British National Parks, Moorland and the Mountain environment. It appears that there is a strong argument here. What are your thoughts on 'Rewilding Britian'? http://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=8004

Alan Wood Amboyna burr Scandinavian grind Bushcraft knife

I suppose i should suggest some items that I am interested in and my reason for sale. I use another knife now so it has almost become redundant. I am looking for a good working gopro hero 3+ black, or a gopro hero 4. I am looking for a good quality drysuit for kayaking and canoeing in a...

Alan Wood Amboyna burr Scandinavian grind Bushcraft knife

Alan Wood Amboyna burr Scandinavian grind Bushcraft knife. It is 01 High Carbon steel and the blade is 4mm thick. I believe the Scales were made from wood left to season as part of a church, which gives them there well-seasoned and hard property. Alan Wood has been a professional knifemaker...
