    boar spear?!

Boar hunting with spears is very hazardous and not to be done alone. When cornered (as said above) they will attack with a vicious determination that will not be believed. The reason bore spears have a crossbar is so the boar will not charge up the shaft and gore you before it dies...

    Dyeing a rucksack?

I dyed the US Army Universal Camouflage Pattern ruck I bought off of eBay. The UCP is awful and only manages to camouflage someone if their sitting on grandma's couch. I had some black Rit dye (liquid) so I thought I'd give it a try. I really should have used two bottles for the amount of...

Does it bother you to "go plastic" ?

I don't have a problem with "modern" or plastic, my problem is, as you say aesthetics. I can barely stand to mix the new and the traditional! I know that eventually I'm going to end up with two full kits, a modern and a more traditional (call it 1880's to 1920's-ish.)

    Tarp & Hammock in Sweden?

There is also the wind break effect that an underquilt provides. I just have a DIY UQ made from a USGI poncho liner, but it helps tremendously in 3 season camping simply by keeping the draft from chilling my backside.

Ah, the Grabber Space Blanket, made right here in Grand Rapids, Michigan! Seriously, I Googled the US dollar conversion on that price and you got it cheaper than I can here in the state in which they're made! Nice job.
