I only think that is really practical and doable if one has land to erect a fence / gate - In which case one has probably mastered some sort of fence/gate shenanigans. I think the target demographic needs to be more despondent suburbanite.

Im not surprised Nihilism can be somewhat of a contributor to those wishing for a change if change by own decision seems undoable. Lots of pressure on people currently in western society.

How long between initial planting and fruiting do you think.?

I guess ultimately , raising a rabbit , chicken , duck and then humanely dispatching it would be a path of stewardship. Also quite the test of resolve for many I think. Having been raised on a small farm I don't have the inability to empathetically detach. But I do get why people do.

Ultimately as a vibe I think what the skills should be is if you imagined yourself as the two characters in ' The Good Life ' - what journey were they on ? What did they want to learn ? How did they learn etc.
